From a young age I have always loved self tan. When I was a teenager I don’t think I went a weekend without my trusty self tan wipes! I used to spent a lot of time dreaming up new innovations and thinking of interesting ways to avoid tanning faux-pas. Looking back, I realise I must have always been destined for the world of tanning.

I've been in the beauty business for over 16 years and there aren’t many roles I haven't played; from working with celebrity clients to becoming a worldwide Tanning Ambassador and launching the first ever stand-alone Tanning Studio.

As a professional spray tan artist I have the privilege of working with some of the most extraordinary people, from top photographers and designers like Tom Ford, Burberry and Sophia Webster, not to mention stunning supermodels such as Naomi Campbell and Rosie Huntingdon Whitely, plus other incredible talents like Ellie Goulding and Mariah Carey. I quickly became a recognised influencer in tanning trends worldwide, as well a regular judge for several prestigious beauty awards. However despite it all, it was always my dream to pour my passion, ideas and industry secrets into my very own brand.

My brand, James Read Tan was built on my completely unique concept; combining the benefits of luxury skincare with a natural golden tan to suit all skin tones. My mission has always been to change the world’s perception of tanning. Orange, sticky, drying, hard to apply, these are all comments of the past. My products are effortless to apply and are all about making your skin not only look amazing but feel amazing too. That's why I'm not afraid to call them outsTANding.
